Coaches assist clients with identifying inner strengths that will assist them with achieving their personal and professional goals.
Coaches are typically nonclinical professions. According to the International Coaching Federation (IFC), the coach’s role is to support the client and help them identify goals, develop strategies, and take action to achieve those goals. Coaches do not address serious mental health issues, diagnose, or practice certain therapeutic interventions.
Licensed Counselors and Therapists have completed graduate programs and obtained licensure in the states in which they practice. Their ethics boards require stringent guidelines on how to interact with clients as well as what type of information needs to be shared, with whom, and under what circumstances. Licensed Counselors and Therapist often work with clients who been diagnosed with or meet the criteria for mental health diagnoses.
As a coach, I focus on helping you develop clarity so that you can achieve your goals with confidence. I take a collaborative approach and offer accountability when needed.
I follow Code of Ethics from the International Coaching Federation (IFC) as well as those from my state licensing board. I will personally review these with you for further clarity should you chose to become a coaching client.
We all have unique strengths and challenges. My hope is that you find ideas that support the most authentic version of yourself. I'm here to help you navigate the overwhelm without creating more of it.
